Summary:
We are seeking a at client's home daycare based worker for special needs child with Down Syndrome who is 11 years old high functioning girl.
You will be paid through an agency called Cambrian Financial Management Services.
I am looking for 1 to 2 persons , it depends on the person's availability.
The available hours are around 20 hours a week.
During the school days the hours are between 3:
30-7:
30 From Monday to Thursday, Friday is 1:
30-5:
30.
Weekends as needed.
Non-schools days maybe need morning time.
Hourly pay can be raised after a certain time.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment - Interact with child in a positive, energetic, patient, and friendly manner - Cooperate with ABA therapist and apply the strategies into everyday activities - Play with child, dance to songs, talk with child, read with child, and help child to improve academic and social skills - drive the child to a few activities when needed - play with child in the park or in the pool or indoor play facilities - Monitor child's behavior and address any behavioral issues using effective behavior management techniques - Collaborate with parents to ensure the child's needs are met and provide regular updates on their progress - Maintain accurate records of child's progress, including parcipatation, milestones, and any concerns or observations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in working with special needs children is preferred (could be having a relative with special needs or working in a special needs environment) - Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies - Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues - must be count on, and punctual on time Job Type:
