Proposal Manager

As a Proposal Manager, you will work with our business development, engineering, and estimating staff to lead the Proposal Coordinator team and oversee the compiling, editing, and writing proposal documents. Willing to consider multiple locations: Benicia, CA / Renton, WA / San Marcos, CA / Chino Hills, CA Responsibilities Ability to take on a larger bid proposal or multiple proposals at one time Overseeing the Project Coordination team in the assignment of proposal work or overseeing the completion of multiple proposals with multiple Proposal Coordinators Coordinating with others to compile and track materials for proposals per deadlines, ensuring that client's request for proposals are fully met Managing the proposal schedule and ensuring deadlines are met Coordinate the development of the technical proposal among team members by creating and maintaining the compliance matrix that assigns proposal tasks to team members Leading the assembly of proposal documents in various software formats, and working with others assembling proposal documents, in a professional manner Ability to write and edit project summaries, resumes of project personnel, and other supporting information Ensure that the proposal material being presented is consistent with the requirements of the bid or of the potential client Develop and implement the Proposal Work Plan to meet the Owner's RFP Requirements and evaluation criteria Assist in obtaining surety / bonding information and any required signature documents in coordination with Estimating Manager Coordinate with JV Partners and Subconsultants to obtain necessary proposal information, narrative, forms, and / or other documents Ability to compile technical writing based on summary points or examples provided by others Participating with project managers in the selection and recommendation of appropriate projects and personnel to be included in proposal, according to the request for proposal (RFP) Proofreading, editing, and standardizing proposal text for proper grammar, spelling, comprehension, and style Maintain current version of RFP documents and make them accessible to all team members. Notify the team when an addendum is issued or when important project information becomes available. Lead final publishing of the proposal and delivery to Owner, as required Internal communication of bid results Maintaining registration in relevant organizations / associations (for example, Road Builders Association) Performing other related duties such as involvement in special projects, assistance with creating marketing materials, and attendance at various meetings or functions Updating of Vision Database for project tracking Some travel may be required for this coordination role Maintains knowledge of Flatiron's company values and strategic plan Support published corporate policies Perform additional assignments per management's direction Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in English, Marketing, Communications or a related field from an accredited institution and 6 years related experience creating, writing and editing proposals for a large scale construction, engineering or design firm Experience managing 2-3 direct reports Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional, Photoshop and InDesign; Deltek Vision 2680

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
